Why does CAP have to control EAS? CAP should work along side EAS to provide additional information when needed. Assuring that both CAP and classic EAS messages propagate should be listed as a "best practice" for SECC's to consider when rewriting state plans.
I would like to see the Manufacturers of CAP solutions for EAS follow the lead of TFT and set up CAP testing servers so that end users can test their upgrade/new equipment to see if the CAP set up is functioning correctly. This is important since there are only CAP servers in some states and it will help contract engineers and techs set up CAP solutions more efficiently.
